M. Finkel
Visiting
professor
Gerald M. Finkel, a leading South Carolina attorney in insurance
law, teaches insurance law, trial advocacy and torts.
Finkel is the founding member of Finkel
Law Firm, LLC, a major South Carolina business law firm with
offices in Columbia, North Charleston and Georgetown.
Finkel, who has taught trial advocacy and insurance law at the
University of South Carolina, is past president of the S.C. Trial
Lawyers Association and a former member of the S.C. Bar's Board
of Governors. He has published extensively in the areas of business
law, insurance law and torts and serves on the Consultative Committee
for the restatement of Torts 3rd as a member of the America Law
Institute. He has a bachelor's degree from New York University
and a law degree from the University of South Carolina Law School.
